Very nice ryokan. the in-room bath was perfect after hiking Kumano Kodo. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the traditional meals were delicious. loved the proximity to the river for our own hot spring experience.

So, like, staying in this place blew my mind! Our room had a private onsen and the view of the forest was totally unreal. Dinner was, like, epic—such a spread! Plus, soaking my feet in the river after hiking was the best way to chill. Totally coming back!

sure, the location is decent and views are nice, but the facilities are stuck in the 1990s, littered with stains. we expected a complimentary upgrade to make up for this horror, but instead received nothing. the breakfast time was ridiculously late for early risers. Absolutely dissapointing experience. i almost thought of giving a good review but just couldn't.
